Pioneer Club scholarship

On Wednesday, May 14, three students from the Pittsburg High school received $300 each for the Sonja Tate Scholarship Program from the Pioneer Club. The money was raised by the fall cake auction. The club members are Fay Allder, Susan Barqas, Motoko Bass, Billie Bradford, Denise Cason, Jean Dehmlow, Sue Jane Elgin, Annie Fuller, Clarice Hampton, Twila McFarland, Brenda Parr, Lorna Price, Charlote Rape, Sonja Tate, Peggy Thorsell, Lynda Tyler, Yolanda Vineyard, and Ellen Weed. Lynda Tyler is the chairman. Cody Perry, Hannah Heyduck, and William Yocum are recipients. Cody Perry plans to go to Northeast Texas Community College. Hannah plans to go the University of Austin. William Yocum plans to attend the University of North Texas.
