Camper thieves sought by Sheriff

A camper was reported stolen from County Road 2129 near Barefoot Bay on April 26. While Camp County Sheriff’s Deputy Dustin Swann was taking a theft report on the camper, Department of Public Safety Trooper Robbie Moore was dispatched to an accident on County Road they were unopposed. 2528 in Newsome.
“When Trooper Moore arrived, he found that a pickup had pulled a camper through the woods,” Sheriff Alan McCandless said. “The pickup had already fled the scene, and it was determined the camper was the stolen camper on which Deputy Swann was taking a report.”
