Cindy and Terry Hammonds of Pittsburg are pleased to announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter Sara Loyd to Cody Shirley of Gilmer.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Ralph Ellison of Gilmer and Pat Ellison of Gilmer; Paula and Larry Dempsy of Glen Rose, Ruby Seale and the late Gary Loyd. She is a graduate of Gilmer High School.
The prospective groom is the son of Paula and James Shirley; the grandson of Elaine Shirley of Leesburg the late Jimmy Shirley and Gail and Tommy Smith of Quitman.
The couple will exchange vows on May 10 at 6 p.m. at Tankersley Gardens in Mount Pleasant.
