Region 8 honors Ron Bristow at PHS

On March 6, Region 8 ESC in Pittsburg, along with the Texas Regional Collaborative (TRC), honored Math and Science teachers across the Northeast Texas Region who served as TRC Mentor Teachers during the 2013-14 school year.  
As a member of this collaborative, each teacher completed more than 100 hours of professional development in the past 8 months.  
The teacher honored from Pittsburg ISD was Ron Bristow from Pittsburg High School.  In addition to recognition from the TRC, he also received recognition from U.S. Senator John Cornyn’s office and Texas State Senator Kevin Eltife’s office for his contributions to education.  Also in attendance to help in honoring him was Pittsburg ISD Superintendent Judy Pollan.
