Lady Pirates down Pleasant Grove, 3-2

The Lady Pirates used a two-out rally to pick up a win in extra innings Friday as Pittsburg downed the visiting Pleasant Grove Lady Hawks 3-2 in eight innings.
Freshman Kaycee Parker produced the game-winning walkoff single with two outs in the bottom of the eighth inning, scoring Masison Busch, who had reached base on a double and moved to third on a dropped ball.
A close and hard-fought game throughout, the Lady Pirates were able to grab a quick lead in the bottom of the opening inning as McKenzie Blackstock singled and later scored on an RBI single by Jasmine Walker.
The Lady Hawks tied the game with a solo home run in the top of the third inning and took a 2-1 lead with another run in the top of the sixth.
