Junior varsity Pirates second in Mount Pleasant

The junior varsity Pirates had another strong showing on the track Friday as they finished second at the Tiger Relays in Mount Pleasant.
The jv pirates finished with a team total of 119 points for the meet, 32 points behind meet winner Atlanta and 18 points ahead of third place Paris.
A trio of Pittsburg runners dominated the jv 3,200-meter run as Ishmael Moreno won first, Stewart Saunders was second and Luis Ugalde finished fifth.
The Pirate long-distance runners also did well in the 1,600 meter run as Jose Lemmus was second and Tristan Adams finished third.
