Pittsburg Police Department investigate stolen vehicles

The Pittsburg Police Department (PPD) recently investigated two reports of stolen vehicles that occurred in Pittsburg at separate locations and times.
On Feb. 20, PPD officers responded to 202 Parkland where a 2002 Mitsubishi Montero had been reported stolen. Officers met with the owner, Jerry Lorance, who stated that unknown person(s) had stolen a vehicle which had been parked at his residence.
On Feb. 22 the vehicle was located submerged in a body of water just off of Mule Deer Road in Upshur County. The investigation lead to the arrest of three suspects (all from Pittsburg): Jerry Lorance (59), Kristie Ensey (22), Dustin Reddin (31). All three suspects were charged with Insurance Fraud.
On Feb. 26, PPD responded to 102 Hull Road where a 1995 Ford Crown Victoria had been reported stolen. Officers met with the owner, Preston Keith Davis, who stated that unknown person(s) had stolen a vehicle that was parked at his residence. The vehicle was later discovered burning in the 1000 block of Choctaw Street in Mount Pleasant that same day. A joint investigation is ongoing with the PPD and the Mount Pleasant Police Department. PPD Officers offer these tips to prevent you from becoming a victim:
•Always park your car in a well lit area and lock your doors
•Take your key. Don’t leave it in or on your vehicle.
•Never leave valuables in plain sight in your vehicle.
