Pittsburg High School student council receives recognition at spring forum

The Pittsburg High School Student Council participated in spring forum Feb. 25 with TASC District 19 Student Councils and received recognition for their work during this past year. 
Pittsburg High School took 20 Student Council members to spring forum, where their work for this past year was reviewed and approved for state recognition. 
The Student Council received recognition in 5 categories – Pride and Patriotism;  Drugs, Alcohol, Safety, and Health (DASH);  SMILE (Energy and Environment Conservation);  Community Service; and  Outstanding Student Council. 
These five recognitions qualified PHS StuCo for the sweepstakes award. 
This is the first time for Pittsburg High School to receive sweepstakes  recognition.
