God’s Closet has grown with time

God’s Closet is an organization that helps over a thousand needy citizens per month in Camp County by providing free clothes, food and fresh produce.
The free produce is given by East Texas Food Bank and is available for everyone. God’s Closet also purchases and distributes several tons of food monthly to residents who can come one time a month to get food if they are in need. 
The organization is staffed by volunteers and funded solely by churches and individual donors. About $2,200 is spent on food monthly including a few utility bills, according to Aletha Smerdon, one of the many volunteers.
