Mrs. Obama might want to call Ray Rice a 'knucklehead'
By Roy Knox
Julie Boonstra looks like your typical 50 something year old grandmother, except she has been diagnosed with leukemia. She was given a 20 percent chance of surviving this ordeal and then Obamacare struck.
Because of the Obamacare mandates she lost her health insurance and in turn her chance to live. She was approached by a conservative group making a television commercial about the plight of the once insured and how Obamacare was failing them. She explained her fate and singled out Representative Gary Peters of Michigan.
Her statement: “Congressman Peters, your decision to vote for Obamacare jeopardized my health. It is time to listen to me. It is time to listen to other American citizens who are hurting. This is serious. It`s not a game.” Her ad hit the airwaves and something unexpected happened. Instead of being sympathetic to her problem, Peters has threatened the television stations with the loss of their FCC license if they air the commercial.
Peters could have danced around the situation by claiming some may suffer for this action, but it will be for the good of the greater amount. Instead, he decided to just try to quash any opposition.
My dad gave me a lot of good advice; he told me health insurance is just like protection for you and your family, always buy the best you can. I listened and always bought the best offered and whenever it has been possible, we had Debbie covered by two different insurance policies.
I’m afraid all of this is about to come to an end. I think stories like Ms. Boonstra will soon be commonplace.
Insurance companies have a tried and true business module. They know what the premiums need to be to still be profitable and cover a person for various situations. Government is only interested in the money, the premiums will be higher and the payout less.
So much less expect quality medical care not to except it. If you think it`s far-fetched try to medical help using “Workerman’s Comp.” I know of no one that will accept it any more, yet businesses are still required to have it as a policy for their workers.
