Shannon Davis of the Winnsboro Livestock Commission, 903-365-2201, reported a total of 951 head of cattle moved through the auction on
Feb. 14, at the following prices:
•Steers, under 300 pounds, $1.70-$2.85 a pound; 300-400 pounds, $1.60-$2.80 a pound; 400-500 pounds, $1.50-$2.50 a pound; over 500 pounds, $1.40-$2.25 a pound.
•Heifers, under 300 pounds, $1.50-$2.70 a pound; 300-400 pounds, $1.40-$2.40  a pound; 400-500 pounds, $1.30-$2.10 a pound; over 500 pounds, $1.20-$1.90 a pound.
•Packer cows, 65 cents to 1.05 cents a pound.
•Packer bulls, 80 cents to 1.22 cents a pound.
•Cows and heifers, $1000 to $1825 a head.
•Cow/Calf Pairs, $1450 to $2275 a head.
• Baby calves, $25 to  $465 a head.
