Commissioners appoint CERTZ advisory board

The Camp County Commissioners Court held a special meeting Thursday, Jan. 30 at 8:30 a.m. in the Camp County Courtroom.
Within the meeting the court considered possible action regarding the creation of a County Energy Transportation Reinvestment Zone, pursuant to Section 222.1071 of the Texas Transportation Code. Camp County Judge Thomas Cravey discussed how the project had four points that made up the project. The first step was to show and have record of road damage that the County suffered from heavy truck traffic passing through and from there, the Court would need to see how this project would benefit those damages.
The third concept to consider would be that this project would promote public safety and the final step would be how the project would assist the county with not only fixing the damages but as a whole. Along with those points to consider, the court also appointed the advisory board for the project. The advisory board would give recommendations on the projects and priority of projects.
