Bryant
A graveside service was held for Emmitt Gene Bryant, 86, Tuesday, Jan. 7, at 3 p.m. at Leesburg Cemetery. Ray McCormack officiated the services.
Mr. Bryant was born Sept. 26, 1927 in Bailey to Guy and Viola Sudderth Bryant. He died Sunday, Jan. 5 at his home in Newsome. He was a retired heavy equipment operator.
Mr. Bryant is survived sons, Brad Bryant of Bonham and Jeff Bryant of Newsome; daughter, Connie Factor of Pottsboro; brother, Bobby Bryant of Bonham; sister Joyce Fulmer of Bonham; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren
Mr. Bryant was preceded in death by his parents and his spouse, Betty Bryant.

Carpenter
Services for Hubert B. Carpenter, 91, of Pittsburg were held Saturday, Jan. 4, 1 p.m. at Erman Smith Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Tim Parker officiated the service and interment was held at New Mine Cemetery. Mr. Carpenter died Wednesday, Jan. 1 in Pittsburg.
He was born May 22, 1922, in Pittsburg to Clint and Roma Etta Langdon Carpenter. Mr. Carpenter served in the Air Force, was a member of the New Mine Baptist Church where he is also served as a deacon, and was a retired mail carrier.
Mr. Carpenter was survived by his wife Patsy Ruth Carpenter of Pittsburg; son and daughter-in-law, Timothy Ray and Shree Carpenter of Gilmer; daughters and son-in-laws, Sharal and Vardell Madding of Longview, and Brenda and Tony Bynum of Mount Pleasant; stepson Russ Cooper and his wife Nancy Cooper of Tyler.
Mr. Carpenter was preceded in death his parents.
Pallbearers were Larry Bailey, Gary Dobbs, James McElhaney, Omega McCellon, Vardell Madding, William Mitcham, Aaron Pearson and James Smith.
Honorary pallbearers were Ed Wynne, Perry Wynne and the deacons at New Mine Baptist Church.

Cowley
Services for Orell Bud Cowley, 84, were held Wednesday Jan. 8 at 1 p.m.
Mr. Cowley was born Feb. 12, 1929 in Pittsburg and died Monday Jan. 6 at his home in Pittsburg.

Grimes
A graveside service for Rae Rankin Grimes, 81, was held Tuesday, Jan. 7, at 1 p.m. at Rose Hill Cemetery with Michael Bedevian officiating.
Mrs. Grimes was born Dec. 6, 1932 in Ashland, Ohio to Harold and Dorothy Marie Shank Poorman. She died Friday Jan. 3 in Fort Worth. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, past president of the P.T.A. in Fort Worth, Mrs. Fort Worth in 1964, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She is survived by her sons Dale Grimes of Houston and John Grimes of Garland; daughters Barbara Bower of Stephenville and Marilyn Allen of Hurst; brother Bob Ranking of Ashland, Ohio; grandchildren, Monica Grimes, Stephanie Stetson, Rachael Grimes, Brandon Bower, Clinton Bower, Ross Bower, Dan Allen, Brian Allen, Leslie Allen, Trey Grimes and Kelly Van Meter; great grandchildren Katie Grimes, Casen Bower, Aubrey Landry, Gentry Bower, Alexis Allen, Brady Allen and Maren and Matthew Van Meter.
Mrs. Grimes was preceded in death by her parents and husband Robert D. Grimes.
