Rotary Club and Interact kids bring in Christmas cheer by delivering food baskets to families in need

The Rotary Club and Interact Students group brought in the Christmas cheer a little early by delivering food baskets to families and residents of Pittsburg in need.
Distributing to 125 families this year, the items delivered included flour, sugar, canned goods, dried pastas and any other non perishable item.
Brookshires also teamed up with Rotary and donated a coupon for a hen for each family receiving the baskets.
Rachel Miner, community service officer and director of Rotary believed delivering these baskets to families in need, was the best way to celebrate Christmas.
“I believe it is important to do this with these kids so they can be thankful for what they do have that others may not have,” Mrs. Miner said.
