Thoroughbred horses being trained at Sunbelt Stables on Farm-to-Market Road 556.
All-District football selections include head coach Ronnie Menn as coach of the year and Mark Cooper as the most valuable player on offense. Other Pirates making the first team were Greg Cook, Brad Sewell, Chris McPeak, Keith Sewell, Reggie Wright, Matt Emery and Bobby Henry.
Pittsburg Fire Department hosts a training and testing project in conjunction with the fire training section of the Texas Forest Service.
