Letter to the Editor

Dear Editor,
 I would like to thank the City of Pittsburg for their support of the Tri County Youth Football Association’s 2013 Super Bowl that was held at the Pittsburg Pirate Stadium on Saturday Nov. 23.
The fans, parents and supporters of the Carthage Bulldogs, Jefferson (Marion Co) Bulldogs, Kilgore Bulldogs and the Tyler Lions (who brought two charter buses full of kids) also played a major part in the success of the event.
The Star Spangled Banner was sung by Myrna Cashatt and Julie Groce, which opened the games.
I would like to thank Mayor Shawn Kennington, Pittsburg Athletic Director Dickey Meeks, City Councilman Rico Willis and Pittsburg ISD Superintendent Judy Pollan, who all came to toss the coin before each game.
