Pirate runners finish fourth at Avery meet

The Pirate cross country teams were in action at Avery last week as both the varsity boys and girls earned fourth-place finishes.
“I was hoping we would do a little better in the meet right before district,” head coach John Chatham said. “Still, we ran a pretty good race.”
Ismael Moreno was the top finisher for the boys, coming in 18th with a time of 19:13. Mario Perez was 19th with a time of 19:14, Noel Balelemar was 27th, Luis Ugalde was 35th, Tanner Lindley was 36th, Yimmin Ramos was 37th and Victor Ponce was 44th.
