Chloe Jean Lyles

Services for Jean Lyles, 92, were held on March 29 in Greenwood Funeral Home Chapel. Interment was in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
She was born Aug. 26, 1921, in Pittsburg to Ezera and Lula H. Carpenter and died March 26. She graduated from Pittsburg High School. She married Raymond T. Lyles on July 21, 1941. Jean was a member of the First Baptist Church in White Settlement and a member of Eastern Star in Granbury. She was a devout 42 player and enjoyed playing with Frances and Bill Colwell. Jean was an avid Texas Ranger fan. She retired from Justin Boot Company in 1983. Jean was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She is gone from our home, but not from our hearts.
Jean is survived by her husband, Raymond Lyles; son and daughter-in-law, John Richard Lyles, Sr., and Pat; daughters and sons-in-law, Martha and Robert Alsbrooks and Glenda and David MacPherson; grandchildren, John Richard Lyles Jr., Sean Eric Lyles, Tonja Michelle Alsbrooks and Robert H. Alsbrooks Jr.; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Leon Carpenter; sisters, Velma Spray, Tommy Faye Craft and Ruth Fisher; nephew, Bill Carpenter; and numerous nieces and nephews.
