Barbara Ann Weeks

Barbara Ann Weeks, 73, of White Oak, loving wife, mom and grandmother, “Mamaw,” peacefully went home to be with the Lord on March 27 after a brief battle with cancer.
She was born May 12, 1939, in Pittsburg to Dallas Huey and Beatrice Nicholson. She attended Pittsburg schools where she met her husband of 55 years, Daulton L. Weeks. The high school sweethearts graduated in 1957 and a few months later eloped to Oklahoma and were married Oct. 5.
Barbara was employed by SWEPCO for 30 years and retired in 1997. She was an active member of White Oak Community Church and enjoyed activities with the Red Hatters. Most of her spare time was spent watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren play sports. She and Daulton traveled many a mile and sat through many a game of baseball, volleyball, softball and basketball.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Dallas and Beatrice Nicholson, and a brother, Thomas E. Nicholson.
She is survived by her husband, Daulton L. Weeks; her daughters, Tammy Cloud and husband Mark of White Oak, Jill Graves and husband Jerry of Mineola; and her sons, Lowe Weeks of Gladewater and Todd Weeks and wife Julie of White Oak. She is also survived by her 11 grandchildren, Brett Cloud and wife Taylor of Longview, Kelli Barton and husband Stephen of White Oak, Eric and Jennifer Weeks of Gladewater, Reid, Conner, Kyla and Macy Weeks of White Oak, Breeann, Jared and Abby Graves of Mineola; and great-grandchildren, Israel and Ethan Vasquez of Gladewater.
The family would like to graciously thank Beacon Hospice of Longview and Jackie Kureska for their loving commitment to Mamaw’s care.
Services were held at White Oak Community Church on April 1 with the Rev. David Dusek officiating. Graveside service followed at Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Pittsburg.
