One Man's Opinion: What is going on?

It`s no secret the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has been buying up all the available ammunition. It`s estimated that DHS plans to purchase 1.6 billion rounds in the next five years, or enough for two large armies to wage war for about 20 years.  But the question is: Why?
Up until last Friday the DHS lips were sealed. After pressure was brought forth by several members of Congress, they (DHS) claim it`s all a big misunderstanding. They regularly purchase goods and services in large amounts to get a better price. With 100,000 armed law enforcement personnel in the DHS, significant amounts of ammunition are needed for operations and training.
I guess hearing we have a 100,000 member army controlled by DHS was more alarming than the stockpiling of the ammunition. For an administration that claimed it was going to be the most transparent ever, why do we have these layers of secrets? I just assumed if this administration couldn`t pass the guns laws (bans) they wanted, they just tried to cover the ammunition market and keep the rounds out of the hands of just average people.
Just who is this army planning on conquering? Are they planning on an invasion or is the enemy already here? Aren`t we entitled to some answers? Can anyone in this administration be forced to talk? Hilary Clinton, Eric Holder, and now Janet Napolitano shade themselves under the umbrella of executive privilege. What worries me, this isn`t the first and surely won`t be the last.

•It`s official The Dallas Cowboys and Miami Dolphins will play in the “Hall of Fame” (HOF) game Aug. 4. The HOF game kicks off the start of the NFL preseason each year and the teams playing get to start practice a week early, which is one of the few benefits of playing the game a week early.
•Thanks to anyone that donated or purchased an item(s) or two for the Northeast Texas Rural Heritage Museum fund-raiser. As always, Jerry French did a great job as the auctioneer. His humor and ability to poke a little fun at everyone made for such an enjoyable evening. I especially appreciated French trying to talk Debbie into bidding on a basket of hair products for me. A special thanks to Katrina Smith and her donation; it was the first Christmas present we bought this year.
•Jim Carrey is the latest Hollywood type to come out against “assault rifle owners. Assault rifle owners have little in their bodies and souls worth protecting.” This is from the star of the movie called “Dumb and Dumber;” it pretty much describes him to a tee. I`m somewhat a simple person with simple dreams, one of them being Carrey showing up at ‘gun show’ spouting out this same trash. How long would it take to get the ass whipping he so rightfully deserves? Simple dreams, simple solutions.
•New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg dropped this bombshell over the weekend. According to Bloomberg, government sometimes really does know what`s best for us and in those times we Americans should cede our rights for the better good. “I do think there are times we should infringe on your freedoms.” That freedom he was speaking about was his unsuccessful attempt to ban soda in large containers. New Yorkers, you should be ashamed of electing this fool to office.
•How they change their tune: Bill Maher the super liberal from California is threatening to move because of high taxes. He complained about the Republicans unfairly protecting the rich until it hit home. He is a liberal cry baby.
•The Pittsburg Pirates men`s soccer team is in the playoffs. Let’s show our support for the team!
