Parker engaged to Rockett

Ricky and Michelle Parker of Pittsburg announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Shelby Lane Parker, to Charles Ryan Rockett, son of Dale and Vicki Rockett of Pittsburg.
The bride-elect is a 2009 graduate of Pittsburg High School. She will graduate this May with a Bachelors of Science degree in interdisciplinary studies for elementary education from Texas A&M-Texarkana. She is currently student-teaching at Pittsburg Elementary School. She is the granddaughter of Mack and Patsy Carpenter of Pittsburg and the late Carroll and Ora Lee Parker of Pittsburg.
The prospective groom is a 2003 graduate of Pittsburg High School and a 2009 graduate of the University of Houston, where he received a degree in political science. He is also a graduate of the Kilgore Police Academy and is currently employed with the Longview Police Department. He is the grandson of the late Charles and Dessie Willis of Atlanta and the late Harold “Bud” and Jean Rockett of Gladewater.
The couple will exchange vows on June 15 at Tankersley Gardens in Mount Pleasant.
