Hart charged with indecency with a child

Myers William Hart, 59, has been arrested and charged with indecency with a child, sexual contact. The child was 11 years old.
“On March 2, Deputy Bo Tucker took a report of indecency with a child that possibly occurred on County Road 4151,” Camp County Sheriff Alan McCandless said. “The possible suspect, Mr. Hart, was arrested at that time on three capias warrants for other charges.
“Further investigation, including interviews with the child and the suspect, resulted in a warrant being issued for Mr. Hart for indecency with a child, sexual contact.”
This is a second degree felony and carries a sentence of two to 20 years in prison and an optional fine not to exceed $10,000.
Mr. Hart remains in the Camp County jail under a $25,000 bond.
