Mardi Gras for Museum set for March 23

Save the date. March 23 is the date set for our fund-raiser for 2013. The two main events will be the bike run and the “Mardi Gras for the Museum” ball held at Princedale Country Club that evening. We are in the process of gathering auction items for the live auction. In addition, we will have sign-up sheets for three events – the Natchitoches meat pie dinner, the annual shrimp boil and a new event this year.
Third grade teacher, Mary Ruth Townsend, with assistance from Bart Townsend, will host a “night at the museum” for a minimum of 10 and up to 15 children, ages 5 to 10. True art activities, supper, breakfast and snacks will be provided. There will be games and a movie based on the book “Sarah, Plain and Tall.” Tents will also be provided. All the children need to bring is a toothbrush and sleeping bag. Each child will also receive a CD of photos from the evening. For the cost or other information, call me at 903-855-7571. This may fill up quickly, so get your name in the pot early. All proceeds from this event will go directly to the museum.
